BACK TO MY BODY is a safe, empowering and supportive space for sexual violence survivors to connect and heal through gentle mind-body activities and a reiki+sound journey to integrate/close the event.

I acknowledge that in Australia, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people are 3 times more likely to experience sexual violence than non indigenous individuals ~ tickets are available free of charge for First Nations people.

Hi I’m Cassandra, and as a fellow survivor, it is my honour to share this event with the community. My path led me to finding and training in Reiki. Along the way it has provided me with tools to feel and shift stagnant energy manifested by my trauma, it has allowed me to remember a part of myself I thought was gone, it’s helped me reconnect with my intuition and release trapped emotions, it’s let me feel safe again in my own body.

💗 In creating and sharing this event and allowing myself to be seen, I hope that it reduces stigma around SA and empowers others 💗

Our afternoon will look like:

1pm: arrival, welcome, introductions, sharing is always optional if you prefer to not disclose

1:30pm: mind-body activities, mixture of guided meditation, creative writing, gentle movement, grounding practices

2:30pm: break time

3:00pm: reiki+sound journey ~ get comfy and drift away, a deeply nourishing and relaxing soundscape will play while reiki healing is used to clear energetic blockages and create harmony within the body

4:15pm: closing circle

We have the beautiful Active Wellness Studio @ PHIVE Parramatta as our space.

Pillows and writing materials provided, BYO yoga mat. Please feel free to bring anything that will make your experience more comfortable and enjoyable (blanket, favourite journal etc.) If you do not have a yoga mat please msg me ahead of time to organise one for you.

There may be opportunity to head out for coffee or some food as a group after the session. If you’re interested, please select this option when you purchase your ticket and I’ll keep you posted with details :)
