Event description
Experience Civic Square after dark with live music and performances, art, street food and drinks. CMAG is throwing a fresh eighties themed party inspired by the Back to the Boombox exhibition. The portable cassette tape recorder/player fostered the rise of hip hop, brought music to the streets, and helped spread music across cities through mix-tapes.
Wait A Minute, Doc. Are You Telling Me You Built A Time Machine...Out Of A DeLorean?
Big time. You can expect immersive installations, hip hop dance battle hosted by Project Beats, DJs, art, local beer and wine, cocktails and, of course, a DeLorean.
Art-lovers can get a taste of CMAG’s collection, with after-hours glimpses at the gallery spaces. Outside, there will be illuminating light installations and an outdoor ice rink for Winter in the City.
