Join Chris Mitchell and Silvana Nieto, from Lakeside Bees, to learn more about beekeeping and the importance of bees in our environment.
Silvana and Chris are passinate beekeepers with 12 years of bee addiction and are actively involved in running the Bay of Plenty Beekeeper Group (Club). Drawing on their extensive hands-on experience, they will share their knowledge of bees and beekeeping, offer practical insights into getting started, and provide guidance on the best pathways for becoming a successful beekeeper.
If you're interested in beekeeping but not sure where to start, or simply curious about these incredibly complex and vital creatures, then this talk is for you.
A Q&A section will follow the main presentation and there will also be the opportunty to sample some delicious honey from Kakahi Bees.
