Event description

Learn the benefits of biochar for soil, plants and planet. You will see a practical demonstration of how to make biochar safely from common garden waste and discover how this low-tech method can improve your soil health, water retention and nutrition for your garden. Facilitation by Tasmania’s own Biochar champion, Bill Harvey. You will be able to take a sample of biochar home.

What to Bring:

Sturdy lidded plastic storage tub (if you’d like to take home biochar)
Closed-toe footwear and gloves
Long sleeves and long pants
Notepad and pen
Drink bottle
