Backyard Biodiversity: Create a Wildlife-Friendly Garden

Discover how to turn your garden into a living ecosystem that supports birds, butterflies, bees and beneficial insects.

In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn proven habitat gardening techniques using native plants and simple design strategies. We’ll explore how to provide the four essentials for wildlife: food, water, shelter and nesting sites, and look at real-life examples of backyard biodiversity in action.

You’ll also have time to begin designing habitat zones for your own yard, with guidance from our educators.

A satellite image of your yard (printed or on a tablet/phone) so you can map out your design ideas during the workshop.
