Backyard Biodiversity @ Manly Dam

What to expect: Bring your love of nature and come for a walk with Wildlife Expert, Juan Forero to experience the fauna and flora of Manly Dam.

• Bring your curiosity to hear the calls of birds and other fauna to understand what makes them unique

• Learn about bird migration patterns from the southern regions and if we're lucky spot a few of these travelling birds

• The fungi world will be exploding in this time of the year, let's spot some mushrooms together.

Where to meet: Main Car park of Manly Warringah War Memorial Park.

What to keep in mind while considering the walk:

1. Dress for the bush - Wear a hat, sunscreen, long sleeves and trousers with sturdy shoes. Carry water to avoid dehydration. Bring Binoculars / Camera if you have one - we will have a few spare to lend. The approximate walking distance will be ~3-4Km

2. Since this is an outdoor event, we will be monitoring for extreme weather conditions - heat/storms and will proceed subject to the weather. We will try our best to inform you well in advance should the walk need to be re-scheduled.

3. Notify the team upon arrival if you need assistance/have a medical condition which might impair your ability to navigate the walk
