Event description

Are you wanting to build your confidence through dance and get a little saucy?

Dr. Jae West is launching her brand new 5-week dance series, Bad B*tch, starting 2024 with a BANG!

This is the ultimate guide for anyone wanting to anchor in their s*xual expression in a safe, supportive container that celebrates all that you are.

Often as women we can suppress parts of ourselves that are shamed, judged or critisized by others or ourselves.

This 5 weeks is a RECLAIMATION.

A reclaiming of our sensuality

A reclaiming and permission slip to take up space

A reclaiming of our desire to be witnessed and celebrated in our pleasure

A reclaiming of our own interpretation of what it is to be sexy

Over 5 sessions we will explore embodiment tools and build on a Dark Feminine dance routine that will have you feeling confident, sexy and ALIVE!

Each week we will spend 60min sharing and dropping into themes of the five modules (initiation, unshaking, power, sovereignty & celebration), including embodiment practises that support the nervous system in integrating the potency and power of our Eros. The second half of the session will be focused on the routine that we will get to showcase that the end of the series to our community (if you choose to perform).

Dr. Jae is very invested in trauma-aware dance classes that give space for women to feel safe in their bodies and sisterhood. This is a judgement free, vulnerability celebrating space where all of you is welcome. It is not about 'looking sexy' it is about 'feeling sexy' and reclaiming your own feeling of worthiness.

What is the Archetypal ALKEMY Framework?
Archetypal ALKEMY is a framework created by Dr. Jae West and provides a framework of exploring and understanding the multitude of feminine expressions that live within each woman. It uses a multi-levelled approach that acknowledges the importance of the mind, body, emotions and spirit in the patterns that we live out and how we show up in the world.
Body - we look at different dance styles, movement patterns and how to hardness these to bring out different feminine expressions
Mind - we look at the psychology, motivation and intellectual framework to allow the mind to grasp and understand that patterns that it lives out, including it's gifts, it's cycles, it's triggers & it's safety mechanisms
Spirit - understanding the chakra system and how that links into the subtle energetics of which feminine archetypes we gravitate to and what we get triggered/afraid of
Emotions - we use archetypes or characters as a way of accessing different emotional embodiments that allow us to learn, grow and thrive

THE FEMININE ARCHETYPES
Wild Woman – Fierceness – Base Chakra
Lover – Sensuality & S*xuality – Sacral Chakra
Huntress – Power – Solar Plexus
Mother – Flow – Heart Chakra
Inner Child – Play – Throat Chakra
Priestess – Devotion – Third Eye
Queen - Confident Grace – Crown Chakra

In BAD B*TCH we will be focusing on the LOVER archetype, dropping into our senses, sensuality, s*xuality and pleasure, using embodiment practises and dance to navigate and explore the depths of her wisdom.

EMBODIMENT SYLLABUS

1) Session 1 - INITIATION

Our initial session is getting to know our sisterhood, creating safety in our our own bodies and in the sisterhood. Safety is essential for an authentic expression of the Dark Femme energy. When we are stressed, overwhelmed or overstimulated we can have a 'Fawning' response which people can assume is Dark Femme energy, this is not in fact the case. This first session is about creating a platform to safely integrate the wisdom of Eros and S*xuality that is held within our bodies and sisterhood.

2) Session 2 - UNSHAKLING

Time to get wild. We thank our Good Girl for her teachings, releasing the people pleasing tendencies so we can make space to TAKE, CLAIM & OWN our desires. We embrace the inner REBEL who breaks the rules of conditioning that have governed our life and kept us contained. In short, we start giving less f*cks.

This is not about neglect, this is about knowing that when we have pure intentions and are not purposely being malicious (that's a different story), the emotional reaction of another is not our responsibility, it is there's.

3) Session 3 - POWER

This is a BIG topic. Often our experience of power can be of having power OVER someone or someone having power OVER us. In these experiences, when it is non-consensual, power isn't safe. In this module we start to explore the concept of power WITH others. How our power can be inspiring rather then undermining to ourselves and others. When true power is based on a deep sense of self worth it is unshakeable and expansive.

4) Session 4 - SOVERIEGNTY

Throughout our life we can give our power and authority away to others. We can chase for others affirmation, attention and approval instead of living in accordance with our own internal compass, knowing our own power and beauty. When we are in a state of chasing, this can be perceived as 'leaky s*xual energy' and feels threatening to others, especially other women. In this module we reclaim the parts of ourselves that we have given away and sought for in others. Forgiving the parts of us that have threated or hurt others and holding compassion for the people we have witnessed in that energy.

5) Session 5 - CELEBRATION

Our final session is coming together as women to rewrite the story of being 'too much', 'too big' and 'not enough' in sisterhood. It is a reclamation that it is safe to be with women that support us WHOLE HEARTEDLY and want us to take up space and SHINE. Dissolving the stories of competition to see the unique beauty, power and magnetism of ourselves and each woman, knowing that we can never take anything from anyone else, that there is abundance for everyone.

6) Performance night - WITNESSING

This is a night to enrol our community into our vision and give a taster of the Eros you have explored. It does not need to be perfect, it just needs to be YOU, in all of your sexiness, messiness, rawness and expression.
