Event description

ONE NIGHT, TWO LIT EVENTS
Bad Diaries Salon + Starling’s 10th Birthday

Verb is thrilled to host two sparkling events in one night this November with our tremendous friends, Bad Diaries Salon and Starling. A fresh batch of bad diaries will start the evening, followed by a line-up of not one, not ten, but twenty poets in celebration of Starling’s 20th issue and 10th birthday.

You have the option of coming to either event but you know you want to come to both. There will be cake!

___

Friday 7 November at Meow.

Tickets: $15 for one event / $25 for both.

Verb Community members receive a 10% discount (check your ReVerb e-newsletter for the discount code, or email community@verbwellington.nz)

BAD DIARIES SALON – STAR

6pm – 7pm, Friday 7 November at Meow
Tickets: $15 (or purchase the double-bill ticket for $25 and go to Starling’s birthday party, too)

Four courageous, starry writers – Kate Camp, Jo Randerson, Michelle Duff and Elizabeth Knox – read from their unpublished diaries on the salon theme, STAR. This is Verb's eighth annual edition of Bad Diaries Salon, hosted by Tracy Farr. What happens in salon stays in salon, so come, witness, celebrate.

Bad Diaries Salon is raw, raucous, unedited and candid: the written word, rediscovered and shared.

Starling: RELAY

7.30pm–9pm, Friday 7 November at Meow
Tickets: $15 (or purchase the double-bill ticket for $25 and go to Bad Diaries Salon, too)

Join us to celebrate TEN YEARS of Starling with a relay of readers from Issue 20 through to Issue 1. An evening of infectious energy, this is also the sign-off for editors Francis Cooke and Louise Wallace, handing over to the incomparable Tate Fountain and Maddie Ballard. A new chapter of Starling awaits!
