BAD Sydney Crime Writers Festival
Event description
Welcome back to BAD Sydney Crime Writers Festival after another tough year! It’s time to enjoy yourself with your favourite crime fiction and true crime writers, plus some unusual suspects who also love crime.
As always, we feature the best of crime fiction with well-loved favourites and new writers, we explore issues of social justice and we look into the often murky depths of true crime. Three early evening events this year will keep you busy after hours as well.Â
Hear Jane Harper joining us from Melbourne on Thursday, meet Bryan Brown as he talks to Michael Robotham on Friday night, and get your book signed by the Danger Awards winner on Saturday before hunting for Stalin’s wine cellar in dangerous Georgia.
Check out the Festival Program on our website for full session descriptions and information on the authors appearing at the festival.
You can attend most of the sessions via Zoom if you can’t make it to the Library (Zoom links will be sent via email before the festival), and we have concession tickets for those attending in person.
LIVESTREAM TICKETS
- Zoom links will be distributed to livestream ticket holders in the week of the festival.
- Only sessions in the Dixson Room and Metcalfe Auditorium at the State Library of NSW will be livestreamed - this excludes evening events.
- Recordings will NOT be available to watch right after the festival if you are unable to watch live.

If you find you can no longer attend sessions to which you purchased tickets, we may be able to swap your tickets to different sessions (if they are not sold out), or change the name on your order if you would like to gift your tickets to a friend.
