Ever wanted to sing in a Choir but don’t have time to commit?

Perhaps you love the idea but need a need a little push out of your comfort zone?!

Maybe you already sing and just want MORE!

Well, this is your chance!

A FULL DAY of choir workshops led by three south-west based professional musicians and experienced choir enthusiasts Tilly Kay, Eleanor Frith and Chrissy Maddison.

Together they will lead and co-create a day full of fun, connection, lots of new tips and ways to sing together, coming together in the evening to deliver a full concert to the public in an experience you’ll remember forever.

ACCESSIBILITY, CATERING AND PAYMENTS:

ALL AGES, BACKGROUNDS AND ABILITIES ARE WELCOME- whether you’re a total beginner or pro, adult or child (10+ and must be with an accompanying adult) come along and share your skills and nerves with like-minded folk!

Please let us know at booking of any DISABILITY access requirements.

Please let us know of DIETARY requirements needed outside of our standard Gluten Free, Omnivore and Vegan. The curries will be fresh and home cooked and mild.

We are charging a $40 per person ($25 youth) fee to cover the morning tea & dinner component whilst trying to make it as fair and accessible to all as possible.

We really love the idea of everyone sharing a meal together after the day of singing and before the concert. However, if you wish to attend and do not wish to book the dinner, please get in touch with Chrissy info.bachub@gmail.com.

SCHEDULE:

10am Arrive and Welcome.

10.15 First Workshop Session with Chrissy, Eleanor and Tilly.

• How do we Warm-Up and Why?

• Fun warm-ups and a few tips to getting the best from your voice.

• Small Groups Vocal Play

11.15 MORNING TEA

Catered. Cakes, bickies, fruit and a cup of something warm.

11.45 Second Workshop Session with Tilly Kay

• Under Tilly’s experienced eyes and ears learn a new song or two in beautiful harmony. This may take place out in nature, weather permitting.

• These songs will be sung in the evening concert.

12.45 LUNCH.

BYO Packed Lunch to take across to the park, or visit one of Balingup’s cafes.

2pm Third Workshop Session with Eleanor Frith.

• Enjoy Eleanor’s fun approach to learning as we explore one or two of her original songs.

• These songs will be sung at our evening concert

3pm Fourth Workshop Session with Chrissy Maddison.

• We’re going to ramp it up in our last session of the day, learning two well-known contemporary rock/pop songs in and hour! See how effective simple three-part harmonies can be.

• These songs will be sung in our evening concert

4.30 pm Dinner is Served!

A delicious selection of curries, rice and salads to suit all dietary needs. Delivered fresh from Mr. Foster’s Café.

6pm. Doors Open for Evening Sing Out! Concert. Starts 6.30pm

• Invite friends & loved ones to come listen and see the achievements of your day.

• Tickets available online or at the door. $10.

CONCERT:

• Open with the songs from the days learning- ALL

• Cacophony Choir 30 minutes

• Tilly leads a surprise!

• Approx. 75 minutes duration.

• Mingle after with a cup of tea/glass of wine with loved ones
