Day Trip to Ballina
Join us for a great day out exploring history, good company, and great food!
We’re inviting all Sub Branch members and their partners/spouses to join us on a trip down to Ballina, NSW.
Plan for the Day
7:30am – Meet at the front entrance of the Currumbin RSL (courtesy bus provided)
7:45am – Depart for Ballina
9:00am – Coffee on arrival, then stroll across to the museum
9:30am – 11:30am – Private Meet & Greet tour of the Ballina Naval and Maritime Museum
12:00pm – Includes lunch, dessert, tea & coffee at Ballina RSL
1:30pm – Depart Ballina
Approx. 2:45pm – Arrive back at Currumbin RSL
About the Museum
Located on the banks of the Richmond River (once Australia’s third busiest port), the Ballina Naval and Maritime Museum preserves the region’s rich naval and maritime heritage. Run by passionate volunteers, the collection includes:
Thousands of exhibits and memorabilia from around the world
Scale models of warships and sailing vessels
Historic machinery displays
Rare Navy memorabilia
Important Information
Meals: Meals are included in booking cost, however must be pre-selected prior to the event. Due to our schedule, no changes can be made on the day. Upon booking you will receive an email with food options to select.
Drinks: Alcoholic and soft drinks can be purchased individually by members.
What to bring:
Comfortable attire
Water bottle
A fun attitude!
We’ll be taking photos during the event. Please advise the host if you prefer not to be included.
