School’s Out for Summer

Beyond The Bell Juniors is our screen-free school holiday program designed especially for children aged 4–6, with smaller groups, a gentler pace and plenty of time to play, move and explore.

It’s a particularly good fit for younger children who are transitioning from preschool into Kindergarten, or who are ready for a little more independence but still benefit from a smaller group and more support through the day.

Join us at Balmain Rowing Club from 11–13 January and 18–20 January 2027 for relaxed summer days built around outdoor play, simple team games, local adventures, imaginative activities and plenty of fresh air.

Our Balmain Juniors program makes the most of Mort Bay, Birchgrove and Dawn Fraser Baths. Depending on the day and conditions, children might enjoy swimming, scavenger hunts, Beyond The Bell Bingo, park games, nature play and short local adventures.

The day is structured, but never rushed. Younger children have more time for free play, lunch, settling in and joining activities at their own pace.

Kids are supported by qualified educators, with a higher staff ratio and a strong focus on confidence, independence, friendships, inclusion and feeling comfortable in the group.

Beyond The Bell Juniors gives younger children a fun, active and screen-free school holiday experience, while helping them build the confidence and independence that supports the next step into school.

Suitable for children aged 4–6 years.
