Event description

Join Restoration Ecologist Brad Bianco for a fascinating, hands-on and informative Bushland Assessment Method (BAM!) Plant Monitoring session at Frahns Farm this September.

Have you ever wondered how Bio·R measures the success of our revegetation efforts? BAM! is a simple-to-learn method, making it the perfect introduction to fieldwork for those new to it. Join us at our Frahns Farm restoration site near Monarto, where you’ll get up close with intact and newly developing quality habitats. Learn more about our plant monitoring.

Please note, there is a maximum of 10 people per session.

When:
  • Session 1: Saturday 21st September, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Session 2: Saturday 21st September, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Where:

BAM! Plant Monitoring will be held at Frahns Farm, Monarto. Please meet us here.

What to bring:
  • Boots for walking and pants for leg protection
  • Other clothing appropriate for the weather
  • Sun protection (hat and sunscreen), sufficient water, snacks & lunch and a backpack to carry your things
  • Any plant ID books that you might like to go through with Brad’s assistance (optional)
  • Binoculars for bird-spotting (optional)

Please note: 
  • There are no bathroom or kitchen facilities on site, nor shelter
  • There will be walking involved, so good shoes and a backpack are recommended
