    Event description

Have you ever wondered how Bio·R measures the success of our revegetation efforts?

If so, you can find out one of the ways we do this by getting involved in helping us complete an assessment.

This one’s called BAM! (Bushland Assessment Method) and is a simple-to-learn method that is the perfect introduction to field work if you’ve never done anything like it before!

We’ll meet Brad at our Frahns Farm restoration site near Monarto for a few hours of getting up-and-close with some intact and newly-developing quality habitat.

We’ve got two dates available, with morning and afternoon sessions each day. But places are limited as in this activity, smaller groups are better.

So be quick… there are only 10 spots available for each session!

    When:
    • Session 1: Saturday 10th September – 8:45am until 12:00pm
    • Session 2: Saturday 10th September – 12:45pm until 3:00pm
    • Session 3: Sunday 18th September – 8:45am until 12:00pm
    • Session 4: Sunday 18th September – 12:45pm until 3:00pm

    Where:

Meet us at the corner of Frahns Farm Rd and Frahns Lane near Monarto.

    What to bring:
    • Boots for walking and pants for leg protection – it’s a good time of the year for snake activity!
    • Clothing appropriate for the weather.
    • Sun protection (hat), water, snacks / lunch and a backpack to carry your things.
    • Any plant ID books that you might like to go through with Brad’s assistance (optional).
    • Binoculars for bird-spotting (optional).

Please note there are no bathroom or kitchen facilities onsite, nor shelter. There will be walking involved, so good shoes and a backpack are recommended. We’ll be going ahead rain, hail or shine!

We look forward to seeing you on-site!
