Travel instructions

Off Albatross Road, turn onto Yalwal Road and travel 7.8 kilometres. You will pass over Flat Rock Creek, and the turn-off to George Evans Road being the Shoalhaven Campus for UOW entry. Stay on Yalwal Road, passing the turn on your right onto Bamarang Road. Soon enough you will see the impressive vista of the Bamarang Reservoir at which time the right-hand turn for the treatment plant will become obvious.

Entry instructions

Driving slowly through the main gate, signage will direct you to where to park.

After entry instructions

You will be met by Shoalhaven Water staff, kindly follow directions and assemble in the marked area. This will ensure everyone is together for the commencement of the tour.

Hazards

The Bamarang water treatment plant is not an all-accessible facility. There are two flights of stairs, and no lift service. Additionally, when touring the outside areas, the walkways are narrow, and the use of railings required. We suggest parents would be nursing children aged 4 years and under, and for children aged 5 to 9 years, would be in constant hand contact. Wheelchairs, walking frames, crutches or other similar mobility aids are not possible on this tour.

Toilet location

There is limited bathroom availability, only two single toilet areas and no infant changing room. By design, the duration of the tour, 55 minutes, is to minimise this requirement for you.
