Across the city, the Shoalhaven Water network consists of 4 storage dams, 44 water reservoirs 28 pumping stations and over 1600 kilometres of water mains.
Welcome to Bamarang. Celebrating 40 years!  The Bamarang water treatment plant, commissioned October 1984, is our main water facility and can process up to 75 million litres of fresh, clean, drinking water each and every day.

We will explore why water treatment is essential for maintaining a healthy environment and discuss how Shoalhaven Water is adopting environmentally responsible practices supporting a circular economy in the Shoalhaven.

Please note, as this is a working plant, it is a requirement enclosed footwear is worn. Further, the tour will take participants up and down a few sets of stairs as we walk through the treatment plant. Â
