Banana Banter
Event description
Do you love bananas? Dream of a Raglan where locally grown bananas thrive?
We do and we invite you to vision the future of local banana growing - whether you're a novice grower, an expert, or simply someone with a vision, big or small.
We’re bunching together to have fun, share ideas, to create a banana-rich Whāingaroa.
We'll be talking about:
What workshops do we want so we can learn and grow more!
What type of grower do you want to be? Backyard, lifestyle/commercial or even a collective growing initiative.
Creating ways to sell, trade, and share our banana harvests.
We're meeting at Ryan Bellerby’s space.
95 Wrights Road, Raglan
Ryan has been successfully growing and selling banana pups on his land and has fallen in love with bananas as an incredible crop.
You are welcome to bring some kai to share.
~ Manu Moana, Rick Thorpe, Ryan Bellerby, Emma Langdon and Tania Ashman, who are bananas about bananas and want to Whāingaroa grow more!
