Bands Your Mum Would Love brings together some of the grooviest, tastiest and most entertaining troupes in the Local Brisbane scene. Featuring an electrifying lineup of jazz, funk, soul, rock and pop influenced bands, your feet will be hard pressed to stay still for long. 

The Contraband is set to play their much anticipated first live show. With a tight rhythmic lineup of drums, bass, guitar, trumpet and piano and powerhouse vocal trio leading the fray, this group will deliver a dynamic set featuring hits and licks that will illicit the stankiest of face and some deep lyricism that may even bring a tear to the eye.

The fantastic local funk 5, Timothee and the Chalamet’s will keep the vibes high with their enormous stage presence and display of pure, unadulterated groove. With the most vibrant rhythm guitar, lively drums and nasty bass to grace the greater Brisbane area since Stevie Wonder himself, this group is bound to keep your feet warm (from all the dancing of course). 

Rounding off the evening is the one and only Samichoux. Hot off the tails of his recent single release show “Noir”, this incredible 4 piece have never sounded better. With compelling lyricism, insane vocal ability and world renowned harmony, Samichoux is the man to see to finish off a perfect night of music. Demonstrating tasteful inspiration from Sting, and a unique flare from the frontman bass and vocal combo, the group will show you a soulful, funky and rocking good time.
