ABOUT

Bilal Hafda, artistic director of Bankstown Poetry Slam and author of An Army of Light, guides you through the tips and tricks of the writing process that will help you take your work from the seed of an idea into a fully grown and realised spoken-word poetry piece, ready to be shared on stage. Old and new work is welcome. Come with a poem you’ve already written, or join and write something brand new!

Bilal will be joined by the beautiful Hasib Hourani, a writer and editor living on unceded Gadigal Country. His debut book, rock flight won the NSWLA Kenneth Slessor Prize for Poetry and was shortlisted for the Prime Minister's Award for Poetry. He is Poetry Editor of Loom Literary Journal.
