Bankstown Poetry Slam October Workshop

It's ⋆✦Spooky Season!✦⋆ And there's only one thing scarier than writer's block... the intense levels of FOMO everyone who doesn't come to our October workshop will feel! Boo! 👻 (The FOMO is doubled when it's co-facilitated too) (Sorry, I don't make the rules!)

ABOUT

Bilal Hafda (artistic director of Bankstown Poetry Slam and author of An Army of Light) and BEA (2026 Grand Slam People's Choice Champion and author of i love you in the most platonic way possible) will jump scare the writers block out of you* with prompts, tricks and treats to help take your work from the seed of an idea into a fully grown spoken-word poem.

Old and new work is welcome; come with a poem you’ve already written, or join and write something brand new!

Open to writers of all ages, levels and experiences.

Spaces are limited and registration is essential.
