Event description

Since 2018 Arizona LGBT+ History Project has been hosting an annual Banned Books Reading. This event will be on Friday, Sept 27 at 8p.

This will be a very special Adult story time that focuses on book censorship, in conjunction with events like this happening across the country. Come participate in an evening of laughter while exercising our right of liberty and emancipation! Join us for a wide variety of readings from banned books, from the dissident and revolutionary to the downright salacious.

Who are our readers?

Kirk Baxter, Rochelle Hughes, Jen Innc, Joseph Jaafari, Beth Maloney, Phil Sirois, Aaron Waddy, Parker Winethal

Come express your love of freedom in literature! Our independence of expression is at risk! Doors open at 7:30, show starts at 8p VIP reserved seating $50, General $15 in advance, and $25 day of show. This event is a collaboration with the Alwun House and the Arizona LGBT+ History Project.
