Gathered at the Table: A Rooted Rotisserie Dinner is a thoughtfully curated, five-course dining experience celebrating seasonal flavors, warm hospitality, and the joy of gathering together. Guests will enjoy a five-course chef-driven family-style menu with paired wines, beginning with a welcome beverage designed to set the tone for a relaxed, communal evening.

Throughout the evening, the menu will unfold as a progression of thoughtfully composed bites—from rich, rustic starters and seafood-driven courses to comforting, elevated classics and a nostalgic, fruit-forward dessert. Each course highlights Rooted’s signature approach to refined yet soulful cooking, with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients, bold flavors, and textural contrast.

Throughout the night, guests will hear directly from the chef and founders of Rooted, sharing the stories, inspirations, and values behind the food, offering a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the heart of their kitchen. Expect intentional flavors and dishes meant to be savored and shared.

With limited seating and an intimate atmosphere, this is a one-night-only experience designed for those who appreciate meaningful food, thoughtful storytelling, and dining that brings people closer together. This dinner will be served family style.

Limited tickets for both the 5:30pm and 8:00pm. Please make sure you are purchasing tickets for the correct time.

About Chef Joseph Burton

Chef Joseph Burton’s journey began in the heart of Baltimore. As a child, he spent countless afternoons with his Aunt Mary Lee in the lush gardens of Druid Hill Park, where the comforting scent of fresh herbs and the secret family recipes sparked an early passion for cooking—these formative moments instilled in him a deep love for soulful, flavor-packed dishes—a love that would grow to define his entire career.

Motivated to refine his skills, Joseph pursued culinary studies at the University of Maryland,

Eastern Shore. His hands-on experiences in some of Baltimore’s top kitchens allowed him tol earn the art of classic cooking while experimenting with modern, seasonal twists. He mastered the delicate balance between rustic, fire-kissed flavors and the refined techniques of high-end dining. In every dish he creates, the legacy of his family’s traditions is evident.

When the pandemic reshaped the world around us, Chef Joseph pivoted effortlessly, transforming his home kitchen into the birthplace of what is now known as Rooted Rotisserie. This venture, conceived during an unprecedented time, is a testament to his Baltimore roots and his commitment to using locally sourced, thoughtfully prepared ingredients. For him, every plate is a heartfelt attempt to nourish both the body and the soul.

Working hand-in-hand with his wife and business partner, Amanda Ngangana, Rooted Rotisserie has blossomed into a warm culinary destination. Amanda, whose background in the hotel industry perfectly complements Joseph’s culinary vision, first met him during their studies in Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The duo merged their passions—he for the art of cooking and she for creating warm, welcoming spaces. Amanda leads restaurant operations, ensuring that every dining moment is memorable with vibrant energy and sense of community.
