Information Session - Changes to the Baptcare Constitution

In 2025, a merger is planned (subject to approvals) between several of our Baptist care and services provider organisations around Australia, including Baptcare (Vic/ Tas/ SA), Baptist Care SA and BaptistCare with services through NSW, ACT and WA.  With Baptcare being an agency of the Baptist Union of Victoria, changes to the Baptcare Constitution must be approved by the Baptist Union of Victoria Assembly Gathering by majority vote before any merger with BaptistCare can proceed.

Members of Assembly are invited to attend an online Out of Cycle Members Meeting (Assembly Gathering) on Thursday 27 February 2025 to vote on the changes to the Baptcare constitution. An information pack will be distributed to all Members of Assembly mid -late January 2025 that will provide answers to some frequently asked questions regarding the proposed changesto the Baptcare Constitution.  

To ensure Members of Assembly are fully briefed on the changes to the Baptcare constitution, an Information Pack will be distributed in late January. 

This information session that will aim to provide clarity to any questions still unanswered after reading the pack. Baptcare and BUV Council representatives will be present to facilitate the session.
