Crossing A Bar? We Can Help

We all know that nothing beats local know-how. And there's no better example than when it comes to bar crossings. Luckily, we've got some local legends from around the country who are going to share their tips, tricks and inside knowledge about crossing bars in your area, it's casual and free. This seminar will be led by our experienced volunteers from Coastguard Maketū.

How to prepare your boat for a bar crossing and how to handle your boat crossing a bar
How to do a bar crossing report
What to do in an emergency
Subject to the conditions of the day we may even get you across the bar on our rescue vessel.
