A Night of Remembrance with Baraka Blue

Join us for an unforgettable evening of remembrance and reflection as Baraka Blue reads poems from his new collection, The Art of Remembrance with host designer and entrepreneur Peter Gould and performances from the Three Rivers Ensemble and surprise guests.
This evening is interspersed with music, performances and commentary about the great tradition of Islamic poetry and spirituality, as well as personal narrative from Baraka's journey. The poetry reading will be followed by conversation and book signing.
The Art of Remembrance includes new and unreleased poems, as well as the most celebrated poems from Baraka Blue’s previous collections such as Beloved and Love and Light. Designed by renowned artist Mukhtar Sanders, each poem in the collection is accompanied by stunning work of Arabic calligraphy featuring the 99 Names of Allah.
