Doors open at 6:00pm, with the main event starting at 7:00pm. We recommend arriving early to enjoy the atmosphere and capture a red carpet “media moment” with Barbara O’Neill.

This is a seated dinner event. If you are attending with friends and would like to sit together, we recommend purchasing tickets in the same booking. If you have booked separately, please write in the notes field the names of people you would like to sit with and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

If you have booked in a group, we will seat you together. All seating will be fixed and name cards will be placed on the table indicating who is sitting where. We ask that you do not rearrange the place cards.

This event is designed primarily for adult guests, given the format of the evening and the sit-down dinner. You are welcome to buy a ticket for your children. Please note there is only one ticket price.

This event includes a three-course sit-down dinner at Hillstone St Lucia, one of Brisbane’s premier event venues, along with a special keynote presentation by international speaker Barbara O’Neill during her rare visit to Brisbane.

The evening also supports the launch of Future Solutions Foundation, helping raise awareness for those affected by medical negligence. A portion of proceeds contributes to the work of the foundation.

Of the $195 ticket price:

• $5.38 covers ticketing platform fees

• $17.73 is GST

This evening has been designed as a special community event and fundraising launch to help raise awareness for those affected by medical negligence.

• St Lucia Gardens Apartments – close to the University of Queensland and the venue

• Benson Court Motel – a simple, affordable option nearby

These and other hotels are located within a few kilometres of the venue, making it easy to reach the event by taxi, rideshare, or car.

No. This is the only event planned in Brisbane during Barbara’s current visit, and we do not have any information about future events in the city at this time.

Barbara now spends much of her time travelling internationally for speaking engagements, with events scheduled across the United States, Europe, Asia and other locations throughout the year.

If you would like the opportunity to hear Barbara speak in Brisbane, this event may be the only chance during this visit.

Yes. We are in close and regular contact with Barbara and we have chosen the date as 9 July to accomodate her personal travel plans to Australia, which she does not usually publicise. We are not in control of her personal website or social media platforms and so this event MAY not be uploaded to her website or socials as it is not her event alone (although it may be in due course, that is up to Barbara's team). Barbara is the keynote speaker at our charity launch and Honorary Patron of the Future Solutions Foundation.

No. Books are available for purchase on this listing ONLY TO TICKET HOLDERS. If you do NOT hold a ticket for the event, please purchase books from the Misty Mountain website.

If you know a ticket holder, you could ask them to buy books on your behalf. Only ticket holders will be admitted to the venue.
