Description
About the Experience
BARE is a traditional Finnish sauna and contrast therapy experience (hot and cold immersion) in the natural human form. Held within our calm, considered space in Preston, Melbourne, BARE invites you to leave your swimsuit at the door and be part of a growing movement to normalise one of the world's oldest wellness traditions.
A Global Wellness Norm
While this may feel unfamiliar in Australia, clothing-free wellness practices are widely embraced in countries such as Finland, Germany, Austria, Japan and South Korea. Sauna and communal bathing traditions are grounded in hygiene, respect and shared social norms, and nudity is regarded as a natural and practical part of the experience rather than something provocative or performative.
BARE invites Australia to explore this longstanding tradition and be part of an evolving wellness culture that values presence, authenticity and practicality over performance.

BARE Philosophy
This experience is not about performance. It is about feeling comfortable in your body, free from expectation or evaluation, and giving the mind a chance to slow down. Nudity is treated as natural, neutral, and non‑sexual, creating a shared environment with a sense of equality.
The intention is simple. To remove unnecessary layers and external cues, allowing attention to return inward and support physical recovery, nervous system regulation, and presence.
You arrive as you are. There is nothing to prove, nothing to compare, and nothing to perform.
Wellness Social Club exists as a third space. A place outside of home and work where people come to reset, recover, and feel supported through shared wellness experiences. BARE is a natural extension of this philosophy.

FAQs
- Why can I only purchase one ticket at a time? It won't let me buy more than one.
Each ticket must be purchased individually. This ensures every guest personally reads and agrees to the BARE terms and conditions before attending, something you can't do on someone else's behalf. If you're coming with friends, just send them the link so they can book their own spot!
- What if someone makes me feel uncomfortable?
Our Wellness Social Club team is present on the floor for the entire session. If anyone behaves in a way that makes another guest uncomfortable, they are asked to leave. No debate. No exceptions.
- Is this sexual or provocative?
No. This is a non‑sexual, body‑neutral wellness experience with clear boundaries.
- Is this hygienic?
Yes. Hygiene is a core part of how our sauna and recovery spaces are designed and used.
Before entering the sauna or pools, all guests are required to shower thoroughly. This helps keep the space clean and comfortable for everyone.
Towels are used when sitting in the sauna, and guests are encouraged to rinse between heat and cold as needed during the session.
These practices are standard in sauna and bathing cultures around the world and help ensure the space feels safe, respectful, and well cared for.
- Do I have to be nude the entire time?
This experience is designed to be enjoyed in the natural form, but personal comfort is respected. Optional swimwear is allowed.
- Is this guided or facilitated?
The experience is self‑led. Guests move through the sauna and cold plunge at their own pace in a calm, well‑held environment. A team member is available nearby for guidance or support if you’d like it.
- I have never done anything like this before. Is that okay?
Yes. Many attendees are new to this style of wellness. The environment is welcoming, calm, and intentionally low pressure.
- Will people be looking at me?
No. This is not a performative or social space. Most people are focused inward and on their own experience.
- Is this aligned with Wellness Social Club’s values?
Yes. BARE reflects the Wellness Social Club approach to consistent, grounded wellness within a supportive third space.
- Is it safe?
Yes. Clear guidelines, waivers, capacity limits, and professional standards are in place.
- Should guests cover themselves when moving between sauna and contrast pools?
Guests are encouraged to choose the level of coverage they feel most comfortable with.
