Barrett House Studios provides short-term space for creatives working across visual arts, performance, writing, design, music and more.

Nestled within the suburb of Randwick, Barrett House is a space heaving with creative history. Once home to silent filmmakers, Franklyn and Mabel Barrett, Barrett House has become a site of creativity for multidisciplinary artists.

We invite you into the studios of our current cohort, to peer around doors of development otherwise left unexplored. You'll hear what the artists are working on, see some of their works in progress and have the chance to ask any burning questions.

June to August artists include:

There will be light refreshments available. Registrations required, spaces limited.

Access
Barrett House is a single-story home located at 6 Barrett Place, Randwick.

Entrance to the property is via a single garden gate, followed by a short garden path. There is a small lip at the double sliding door to the house. There is one non-gendered bathroom inside the property which is not wheelchair accessible. The garage space is accessible via the street level and is wheelchair accessible.

There is on-street parking located around the property. Limited seating is available, if you require a seat on the night please speak with Council staff.
