Event description

Join us for a great night of local music as we celebrate the release indie banjoneer Barry Osborne’s latest EP, A Circle, A Neverending Line. Joining Barry are The Xisme, Nicole Moore-Abeyta and her husband Joshua Randy Abeyta’s acoustic joke folk duo, whose music is highlighted by heartfelt storytelling, humorous observations, and the soul-baring anti-folk of Bad Boy Bug.

Barry Osborne: Barry Osborne is a singer-songwriter, banjo player, and fabulist who once got a D minus for reading Mad Magazine in middle school English class. Fortunately they made it to college, where their discovery of old-time folk music created the perfect vehicle for their own songs and storytelling. This spring they are releasing their latest EP, A Circle, A Neverending Line. At turns esoteric, silly, and wistful, the Matt Hoffman-produced outing seamlessly blends Barry’s love of folk and indie music in support of his tall tales and hard-fought insights.

The Xisme: The Xisme are a joke-folk duo from Denver , CO featuring Nicole Moore-Abeyta and her husband Joshua Randy Abeyta, who perform both as an acoustic duet and with a full band. The pair mix heartfelt storytelling, humorous observations, poetry, original songs, classic covers, and the occasional pop quiz trivia question to create an interactive, intimate experience for audience members of all ages and backgrounds. Their songs tackle a wide variety of subjects, anything from panic attacks to cats, and are meant to address even the heaviest topics with a touch of levity and with the intention towards creating a space where we can move towards transformation.

Bad Boy Bug: Bad boy Bug is the alt folk solo project of Beau walker from Denver Colorado.  Bad boy bug has been performing raw emotional anti folk music since 2015. B.B.B draws influence from AJJ, Kimya Dawson and PJ Harvey.
