About the Course

BASIC is a 2-day course designed for junior ICU doctors with little ICU experience, as well as senior trainees in medicine, surgery or emergency medicine.

The course is held at the Royal Melbourne Hospital Intensive Care Unit and Simulation Centre.

Pre-course MCQ-based formative assessment
2 day course consisting of lectures, skill stations and tutorials taught by Intensive Care specialists, with an emphasis on a practical approach to management of critically ill patients
Post-course MCQ test
