This is an introduction to the care, rehabilitation and release of Flying-Foxes and Microbats
Topics will include:
- Basic anatomy
- Licence and legislation
- Equipment for caring
- Why animals come into care
- Rescue
- Zoonosis
- Handling
- Housing
- Diet
- Basic first aid
- Release
- Orphans
Registration will begin at 9:15am for a 9.30am start, and the day will finish around 4pm. Morning tea will be provided. Please bring your own lunch. Due to Covid restrictions, places are limited.
Training will be conducted at ACT Wildlife, 701 Cotter Road, Duffy.
