Event description
The BASIC Assessment and Support Intensive Care course was initiated by a group of Intensive Care Specialists working in Hong Kong, New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.
BASIC is a course designed to teach some aspects of acute assessment and treatment of critically ill patients. It includes modules on ventilation, ABG interpretation, metabolic problems, shock management, and resuscitation. It includes both practical, hands-on stations and didactic lectures.
Duration:Â 2 days
What is included: Course registration, a hard copy of the BASIC textbook, morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea.
Audience: This course is for Doctors who have completed or are planning to complete a critical care rotation in Intensive Care, Emergency, and or Anaesthetics as a Resident or above.
