Event description

Heartwood Nature Bathing warmly offers a special 3-hour weaving workshop.

Bask in the beauty of nature as you learn to weave with the coil 'wrapping stitch'.

No prior experience is needed for this experience, which will help you cultivate a sense of calm, creativity and connection.

Where?

This small group experience takes place at the Mount Coot-Tha Botanic Gardens in Brisbane/Meanjin, on Turrbal and Yuggera country.

Ample parking is available on site.

Details of where to meet on the day will be provided via email 48 hours prior to the event - please ensure you use the correct email to register!

What to expect?

This event has a maximum of 10 participants, and is suitable for people 12 years and over.

We will use raffia, and weave in a coil style. This workshop utilies the 'random over wrapping' stitch shown in the above photo. (Check my other events for other stitch styles!)

No prior experience is necessary and all materials are provided.

You can expect to weave a small basket or coaster in this session, and you will take home the skills needed to complete larger projects.

This is a very gentle experience; you can expect to travel no further than 1km. The route is manageable for all fitness levels, as well as assisted wheelchair users.

If you have any accessibility or mobility concerns, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
