Bass Boot Camp 2025

Date: Monday 24 November – Wednesday 26 November 2025
Time: Monday and Tuesday 9:00am–6:00pm, Wednesday 9:00am–7:00pm
Venue: Bishop Hall, Elder Hall Building (Lower Ground)
Tickets: Free, but registration is essential as places are limited.

Join the Elder Conservatorium of Music's double bass staff for an incredibly intensive three-day experience, filled with warm-ups, technique classes, scale classes, studies classes, excerpts and repertoire classes, solo masterclasses, ensemble playing, and concluding with a final public concert!

Aimed at senior students and young professionals looking for a boost and a chance to refocus.

9:00am–10:00am: Individual practice
10:00am–10:45am: Group warm-ups and scales
10:45am–11:15am: Studies 2/Technique class
11:30am–12:30pm: Excerpts - Mozart 40, Beethoven recit, Mahler 1
12:30pm–1:30pm: Lunch break
1:30pm–2:30pm: Ensemble rehearsal
2:45pm–3:45pm: Repertoire class
4:00pm–5:00pm: Masterclass

Wednesday only:
6:00pm–7:00pm: Bass Boot Camp recital
