Description

Across time, tribes danced and ritualized to deep drum sounds in search of transcendence and the divine. In the modern rave and ecstatic dance, this ancient technology re-emerges in rumbling, powerful, and otherworldly bass music, harmonizing our primal roots with our spiritual selves. Your fascia listens to bass, not just your ears. Low frequencies vibrate through your whole structure. That’s why it feels like therapy. You’re not just listening, you’re resonating.

Certain bass music is a visceral experience, penetrating beyond just conscious hearing the music and directly interfacing with our nervous systems, feeling the music. Fascia connects everything in the body, it holds tension, vibrates, and responds to pressure and rhythm. It’s also where a lot of somatic memory is stored, so feeling the deep bass and moving to it can be a powerfully healing experience.

Join us for an Ecstatic Dance, a vibrant space where music, movement, and mindfulness unite. This free-flowing dance experience invites you to let go of inhibitions and connect deeply with your body through intuitive movement. There’s no choreography or rules—just your authentic self moving to the rhythm. Whether you want to release stress, find joy, or explore your creativity, ecstatic dance offers a safe and welcoming environment.

Expect a diverse blend of soulful beats, uplifting melodies, and trance-like rhythms that guide your energy from calm to ecstatic peaks. Come as you are, no dance experience needed—just an open heart ready to express and connect.

Rediscover the joy of movement and experience the bliss of ecstatic dance with us!

You may experience a range of emotions as we move through the ecstatic wave. All parts of you are welcome. This is a non-judgemental and supportive space for self-expression in body movement in whatever form that may take for you. When the mind steps aside and you allow the body to take you on a journey, that is when the magic can happen.

"Let the rhythm guide you and your body speak through movement. Beyond the steps, beyond the rhythms, dance is a journey toward the purest freedom."

We follow the traditional principles of ecstatic dance:

  • We dance barefoot (socks are also fine) to help us connect more fully with the ground (shoes are completely welcome if you have medical needs).

  • The dance is held in silence to foster a meditative and introspective experience, allowing you to tune out of the mind and into the body.

  • Occasionally, sounds may naturally arise from the body during dance—please express these in a way that honors your needs and respects others.

  • We encourage you to dance exactly as you are. All parts of you are welcome.

  • This is a fully sober event. We also ask that you refrain from using phones or cameras and bringing any expectations or judgments (including self-judgment). Simply be yourself while respecting yourself, the space, and fellow dancers.

  • Consent is essential when engaging or co-creating with others in the space.

Everyone is welcome! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

Tickets can be bought online here or cash/bank transfer ($20) at the door.
