Basser Charity Bonanza

The Basser Charity Bonanza is an Australian 7 Point Highlander tournament, a full day of competitive magic.

This year, all proceeds will be going to the Lort Smith Animal Hospital. Every entry and donation will help support the work that they do.

There will be door prizes, and a raffle that will be drawn before the last Swiss round

• In the spirit of Highlander, we will be allowing a small number of proxies (7 to be exact!). After discussion with Judges, players will need to print out clearly readable copies of the proxy cards they intend to play. They will then use checklist cards in place of these proxies in their deck, to ensure no issues with card thickness or deck sizing

• There will be coverage of this event! Done by the lovely Rad Nauseum, so make sure you keep winning so you can get on camera!

• Obviously as a charity event the aim is to have fun, but we are aware there are serious prizes to be won. This event will be run at COMPETITIVE REL. This is in no way to discourage inviting new players or friends who are keen to try Highlander

• Gaming Arena is a licensed venue – meaning any underage players will need a guardian with them. In addition, this means players are free to drink during the day. Given the nature of this event, we will have a strict policy on intoxication – any player who is disrupting gameplay or making others uncomfortable may be asked to leave the venue

• Players may be allowed to drink at the table at the discretion of their opponent – if someone asks you not to drink around their expensive cards, be nice!

• Apparently there is some other, slightly less important event happening on the same day? Well, we will be putting THAT grand final on the big screen while you play OUR grand final and score a bunch of prizes.
