Bastinado Workshop

An exploration into the art and techniques of bastinado- a traditional form of coporal punishment involving striking the soles of the feet. Bastinado is a varied and intense form of play that appeals to a wide range of kinksters. 
We will delve into the history and contemporary applications of bastinado from the sensual to the sadistic.

This workshop will include a theory and practical component.

Theory: 

General safety, consent and negotiation of a scene

Introduction to bastinado

Anatomy of the foot and how to play safely 

Exploring different techniques you can use from traditional to more modern approaches.

Demonstration and QA:
We will then take a small break so we can set up stations for you to explore various equipment and practice under the guidance of our facilitator who will roam and assist where needed.

Station 1. Canes 

Station 2. Floggers 

Station 3. Electro 

Station 4. Sensory and other toys

It is not required to try each station as we all have our limits and boundaries. Observation is absolutely welcomed! Equipment will be provided but if you have your own please bring it along. 

About your facilitator:
Ash is a lover of all things sadomasochism and has been in the kink scene for 17 years. Their passion for education knows no bounds and is delighted to share their knowledge with you all. Ash identifies as non binary and would greatly appreciate the use of they/them pronouns. 

As there is a practical component it's advisable you come with a friend or partner, however if you are unable to Ash and other staff will be available to assist.
