Event description

Chiroptera minima: An Adults-only Bat Night Stalk

Guided by the legendary Joe Tonga. Explore the unseen world of microbats in the Beeliar through echolocation, discovery, and flight.

As the sun sinks below the treetops and the air begin to stir, a hidden world awakens overhead... silent, swift, and utterly spellbinding. This is your invitation into that world.

Join legendary “Batman” Joe Tonga, Western Australia’s most enthralling bat expert for a rare adults-only twilight exploration at the Beeliar Wetlands. With the passion of a conservationist and the energy of a wildlife showman, Joe brings the mysterious twilight bush to life like no one else can. And yes, there will be microbats!

Slip into the hush of banksia woodlands as the evening deepens. Canopies blur into shadow and the air carries the thrill of the unknown. Nature's theatre is wild... it offers no guarantees. But when the creatures reveal themselves, the are as astonishing as they are elegant. So fill a glass, savour the twilight, settle into the stillness… and let the night unfold as it will.
