Event description
Bat Night Stalk: An Evening with the Microbats of Beeliar Wetlands
Join Batman Joe for a twilight journey to observe the fascinating microbats of Southwestern Australia in their unique homes!
Prepare for an enchanting evening of discovery with our Bat Night Stalk event, specially designed to bring you closer to the elusive world of microbats. Nestled within the beautiful surrounds of the Beeliar Wetlands Reserve, this twilight adventure offers a rare glimpse into the lives of these tiny, vital creatures.
Led by the renowned Batman Joe Tonga, participants will explore bat boxes—artificial roosts providing refuge for microbats displaced by urbanisation. Learn about the bats’ incredible echolocation skills, their nocturnal habits, and their role in maintaining ecological balance.
