Bat Walk 24 September
Description
Join us for an evening bat walk expertly guided by Gareth Harris of Wiltshire Bat Group.
Using handheld bat detectors you will discover which of the eleven species of previously recorded bats are out and about that night.
Found Outdoors is a private rewilding project set in 54 acres of mixed woodland and pastures rich in wildlife including many species of bats. The site comprises two woodland areas, two meadows and five seasonal ponds. The walk will pass through the woods and meadows with the possibility of extending the walk to take in the ponds in the far field if time allows.
There is a free car park in the woods and a compost loo.
Hot drinks are included in ticket price.
There is no age restriction on this event however children must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
