Event description

Put on your dancing shoes and get ready for an unforgettable night! batyr is back with our sellout event, The Blue Tie Ball

Key details

Date: 8th September 2023

Venue: Le Montage, 38 Frazer St, Lilyfield, 2040

Dress code: Blue Tie (dress up!)

Kick off the evening with a glass of bubbles before indulging in a scrumptious sit-down dinner and drinks served throughout the night. Strike a pose in our photobooth, enjoy a variety of entertainment, and dance the night away!

Our theme this year is ‘To the Stars;’ we have ambitious goals set for 2030 including reaching 3 million young people, so we are aiming high and heading ‘To the Stars’! We hope you’ll join us as we bring our community together to make big things happen for young people.

This year we are excited to announce Mitch and Leigh Drennan from the popular podcast We Got The Chocolates as our hosts for the evening!

We also have a Blue Tie Ball first! Introducing our Blue Carpet Reporters, TikTok stars Millie Ford and Lachy McIntyre, who will be greeting guests on arrival and creating an entrance to remember.

Over 600 people attended last year's ball to raise a record breaking $321,000, helping over 12,000 young people go through batyr’s preventative education programs - this year we are aiming even higher to ensure we are able to support as many young people as possible.

There’ll be plenty of opportunities to score an incredible prize! Take a chance on our mystery wine wall, make a pledge of support, place your bids in our auction, or purchase raffle tickets.

You will also hear from one of batyr’s storytellers, a young person who shares their experience overcoming mental ill-health at our preventative school and university programs. Their inspiring and heartfelt narrative will resonate with you long after the night ends.

Every dollar raised at the Blue Tie Ball supports batyr’s critical school and university programs, which empower young Australians with mental health literacy, reduce stigma surrounding mental illness, and increase help-seeking behaviour.

We’ve reached and supported more than 340,000 young people to give a voice to their experience of mental ill-health, but there’s still so many young lives at risk.

With your support, we’re excited to make an even bigger impact and empower more young Australians to get through tough times and look out for their mates. This is a 18 years and older event.
