What to expect at the Blue Tie lunch?
Enjoy an afternoon of storytelling, entertainment, raffles, a delicious meal, premium beverages, and more. It’s an opportunity to hear more about batyr’s work, whilst dining with other like-minded people who are motivated to positively impact the lives of young people across the country.

You'll be treated to a special guest speaker, an internationally renowned leader in the field of Positive Psychology Dr. Tim Sharp (aka Dr. Happy). And also hear from one of batyr’s storytellers, a young person who shares their experience overcoming mental ill-health at our preventative school and university programs. Their inspiring and heartfelt narrative will resonate with you long after the event ends.

Why the Blue Tie?
batyr’s signature event, The Blue Tie Ball, has been running for over 11 years in Sydney, and we’re thrilled to be bringing a taste of the Blue Tie brand to Brisbane this year.

Why attend the Fundraising Lunch?

This Event will help raise vital funds for young people to experience batyr’s preventative education programs. The programs aim to empower young people with the skills and confidence to get through tough times and look out for each other.

Now more than ever, our programs are critical. 2 in 5 young Australians experience mental ill-health, and suicide is the leading cause of death for young people.

All funds raised from the 2023 Blue Tie Long Lunch and other Blue Tie events will help batyr continue our life changing work with young people.

Who is batyr?

A for-purpose preventative mental health organisation, driven by young people for young people. Our programs and activities are empowering young people and their communities with the skills to lead mentally healthy and fulfilling lives, one story at a time.

Special thanks to all of our sponsors:
