Event description

We are thrilled to launch Bayside City Council’s innovative new Roving Repair Program.

The program aims to empower our community to repair and reuse household items.

Bayside City Council is dedicated to reducing waste within our municipality by encouraging everyone to repair items instead of throwing them away.

Join us for the program launch event and first of our Repair Workshops over the coming months.

At this event you can:

  • Learn about the Global Repair Movement
  • Hear about Council’s goals for the Roving Repair Program, and beyond
  • Connect with your community with the shared goal of reducing waste and keeping things out of landfill
  • Hear about the work happening to make Bayside a connected and sustainable community · Enjoy a free hot drink from Howzit Brew
  • Have one of our experienced repairers help you mend items such as clothes and other textiles
  • Learn some new skills that you can take home to use on all those bits and bobs you have that are in need of some TLC
  • Hear about the upcoming events as part of the program
  • Connect with your community
  • Sign up to be part of Bayside’s repair community

All for free!

Book here to make sure you get your free hot drink. This event is being coordinated by Let Me Be Frank, on behalf of Bayside City Council.

The program is made possible thanks to funding from Sustainability Victoria.

If you’re a keen mender you can register your interest here, and we may be able to help you share your skills!
