Travel instructions
Parking: When you arrive at 213 Wright Street Cloverdale, to visit Centre for Accessibility Australia, below is instruction on how to gain access to the building. A map to the parking designations can be found, Faulkner Civic Precinct Parking Map (belmont.wa.gov.au) - https://www.belmont.wa.gov.au/docs/ecm/faulkner-civic-precinct-parking-map. Most parking within the Ruth Faulkner Park is between 2 – 4 hours. Please take note of the signs. Alternately over the road is the Belmont Forum Shopping Centre, which has strict 4-hour parking. Important: If you are going to be here for more than 4 hours, you will need to move your car to a different parking location nearby. The parking rangers are very active in tagging cars who overstay. Should you need to be here for more than the allotted parking time, it would be advisable to relocate your car, to a different area within the precinct. Note: The bays directly in front of the Civic Centre, are mostly 2 hour, please check the signage. Bus and Taxi For those who will be travelling to visit us by bus, the bus stops directly in front of the building. • Stop Number: 11304 – busses arriving from Perth and Fremantle Directly at the foot of 213 Wright Street. • Stop: 11670 - Busses heading toward Perth and Fremantle is directly across the road. There are a number of busses that stop at these stops, please refer to Trans Perth’s Journey Planner for bus numbers and Schedules. Bus numbers that stop directly in front of the building are: 999, 998, 37, 270, 284, 285, 935. A Taxi rank is directly over the road at the Belmont Forum, from the corner of Robinson and Wright Street. The ramp leading up to the multi-story car park at the Belmont Forum, us just near the wood, and steel shelter, for the rank. Entry instructions
Lift Access | Wheelchair access For people who use wheelchairs, the lift on the at the Plaza Entry, near the Seniors Centre, is more spacious, and will make manoeuvring your wheelchair easier. The Plaza Entry is half way between the Library Entry, and Robinson Street, between the Belmont Hub building and the Civic Centre. The Library Entry is nearest the main car park. Intercom system Please note: the intercom system to the building, is not braille embossed, so may be difficult for vision impaired and blind visitors. If you have a guide with you, they will be able to assist you. Alternately, please call the office number 0466 099 101, or the person you are here to see who will come to collect you. The button arrangement is three columns by 4 lines. Numbers 1,2,3 on the first line 4,5,6, on the second line, 7,8,9, on the third line, the *,0,# buttons are on the bottom line When you arrive at the main entry, which is near the near 8 Yolks restaurant – To the left of the door is an intercom system. Please dial 205 then the Star button (*) The Star (*) button has an orange arrow pointing to it. There is a symbol of the handset at an angle on the bottom left side. If they forget to press the star (*) button, we will not be notified. Hold down the Star (*) button if you wish to speak directly to the person who answers your page. The doors will be opened for you remotely so you can enter the building. Please use the 2nd communication set near the lift. Locate the label that has CFA Australia, this is the fifth from the top right side: It will have a grey button, on the right, with 3 lines on it. Press this button. Orange arrow pointing to the button. A CFA Australia staff member, will let you know they will remotely send the lift. The lift should automatically open when it is finished any other stops it is in the process of completing. Once inside the lift there should be no need to press any buttons, the lift should automatically travel to the 2nd floor. Should the lift not move, please press the button with the number 2, it is tactile with braille. The lift audio will let you know when it has arrived on the 2nd floor. Please take a seat, in the waiting area, and we will be with you shortly.
Accessible parking
ACROD Parking Should you park in the ACROD bays, please ensure you are displaying a Valid ACROD permit on the front dash of your car. There are no time limits to these bays. • There are 3 ACROD parking bays Just between the two City of Belmont buildings, the Civic Centre and the Belmont Hub building, which is accessed by Progress way. Shown in the above picture • There are a further 2 ACROD bays in Robinson Street, between Laurie Street and Ross Street. Near where the City of Belmont Service area is, shown in the below picture. Should all ACROD bays be taken up, and you have a Valid Permit please phone the City of Belmont and let them know you have an ACROD permit, but all bays are taken. The number is: 9477 7222. Give them your Vehicle Registration number, your contact number and that your are visiting the Centre for Accessibility Australia, in Suite 5 on the 2nd floor of the Belmont Hub.
