About the Speaker

Fiona Bell is a postdoctoral researcher in the Hand and Machine Lab at the University of New Mexico, where she designs, develops, and studies biologically-based materials and technologies that promote ecological care and sustainability. With a PhD in Creative Technology and Design from the University of Colorado Boulder (2023) and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University (2019), her research happens at the intersection of biodesign, material science, and human-computer interaction.
