BDD MDW 2026 Open Studios: Hillvale Photo and Gallery
Description
This Melbourne Design Week, the public will be offered a behind the scenes look at the operations of Hillvale Photo Lab and Gallery. Visitors will be taken on a guided tour where they will be able to witness the entire process that a roll of film goes through from development in our dip and dunk processors to the scanning systems that we use every day. The tour will begin in the photography gallery at the front.
Lab Tours run at 12.30, 1.30, 2.30pm. Strictly limited numbers. Registration essential.
Artist panel discussion 2pm – 2.45pm limited capacity no registration required.
Please join us for a panel discussion with artists from the exhibition Correspondences for an exploration on the threads connecting each work, the reciprocal exchange between photographer and subject, people and place.
