Planning for long term population growth in Greater Bendigo
The population of Greater Bendigo is expected to increase by 87,000 and 38,000 dwellings by 2056. It is important that the City plans for this growth including delivering housing in well serviced locations and providing employment opportunities for existing and new residents.
The City will provide an overview of the adopted Managed Growth Strategy which provides direction about how the municipality will grow and change into the future. It will also outline some of the initiatives it is undertaking to deliver on the Managed Growth Strategy and ensure Greater Bendigo remains a liveable and attractive destination to both existing and new residents as it grows.
