Join us for an informal chat over a cuppa and cake and a chance to learn about some common mental health challenges, how to support your mates and improve your own wellbeing. 

Mental health awareness is crucial in breaking down barriers, reducing stigma, promoting early intervention, and fostering a supportive environment for individuals experiencing mental health challenges. 

It plays a pivotal role in creating a society that values and prioritises mental wellbeing.

Mental Health Awareness Sessions are an introduction to Mental Health First Aid Training which will be offered in Mt Compass in May.

We will provide an overview of mental health and the skills to assist and identify the early warnings signs of a mental health problem and how to support someone who maybe experiencing a mental health problem. 

This session will be facilitated by Sharn Elder, Training Manager,  Breakthrough Mental Health research Foundation and is part of the Healthy Minds, Healthy Farmers and Healthy Landscapes Project which is being run by the Hills and Fleurieu Local Food Futures of which Food Embassy is the project lead.
