Event description

Newstead Arts Hub is keen to support local community conversations as we move towards the Referendum for Constitutional Recognition of Australia's First Peoples that will be held later this year.

Together Yes, a community-based organisation, is inviting people from all walks of life to get together and talk about the referendum, to share their knowledge and ideas, ask questions and discuss how an Indigenous advisory body to parliament might make a real difference. Together Yes is creating resources to help people hold ‘kitchen table conversations’ – with friends, neighbours, at their sporting club or with their book group.

Newstead Arts Hub invites you to be part of a facilitated Newstead Kitchen Table Conversation during August. Each Conversation is two sessions: Wed 9 August and Wed 30 August, 5.30-7pm, at the Newstead Arts Hub, 8A Tivey Street, Newstead (Victoria).

Each conversation will be in a small group of max. 10 people, and each group will have a facilitator to help the conversation flow.

Refreshments provided. Free. All welcome.
