MEET THE NIGHT'S PERFORMERS
HARGO is a musical prodigy. Phil Spector recorded HARGO’s song Crying For John Lennon on his famed Wall of Sound, the last such recording before his death, which was featured in Billboard and American Songwriter and was the theme song for the John Lennon documentary Strawberry Fields. Spector was so moved by HARGO’s work he described it as “something John Lennon would have written.” This night is special for HARGO, who is returning to his musical career after a hiatus following the birth of his son Arjan. Catch HARGO with an exciting live band.
Joss Jaffe is a Billboard Top-10 artist known for his ambient album Meditation Music and his genre bending Dub Mantra albums that merge sacred chant with reggae and world music. Joss’ recent releases include Aum Akua, a first of its kind fusion of Hawaiian slack key guitar, Ngoni (African harp), and tablas, recorded with 2021 Best New Age Album Grammy winner Jim “Kimo” West, and “Sun Mountain Sea”, a collection of electro-pop tunes produced by the renown DJ Taz. Joss has serenaded audiences around the world at festivals and premiere yoga events, including Wanderlust, Lighting in a Bottle, and Bhaktifest.
Sudama Mark Kennedy is a United Nations award-winning healer with a unique gift for rapid and often instant pain removal, connecting audiences and clients to a deeper experience of Self. He channels his healing power through his music, relaxing his audiences with his dreamy voice, transcendental body, and mastery of a variety of instruments including Sitar, Shakuhachi, and Zither.
Jai Anand will lead the opening ceremony. She is Be Why Music’s owner and founder, who has spent over 20 years in the music industry stewarding artists to ever-higher success, including two Grammy wins in 3 years (2017, 2019). Her 2021 debut single Ra Ma Da Sa premiered on KCRW, played by the legendary DJ Chris Douridas who called it, “Stunning.”
